The IGP recalls with delight the Emir’s stint in the Police when he meritoriously served between 1957 and 1963 as the head of Kano Native Authority Police Division.  The Police boss further notes with pride that the Emir stood firm, even at that time, against the culture of impunity and arbitrariness, thus entrenching discipline and fairness within the establishment.

Noting that the Emir has kept faith with these hallowed principles, by his unwavering stance against terrorism and other forms of criminalities, the IGP reiterates that the greatest gift of the Nigeria Police Force to the Emir is a promise to continue in this part of honour towards realizing improved security for the nation.

The IGP wishes the Emir Allah’s blessings and many more years of peace and sound health.
