BRIEF REMARK BY IGP SOLOMON E. ARASE, NPM, FDC, AT THE LAUNCH OF THE POLICE WELFARE REWARD CARD (POLCARD) ON 16TH JUNE, 2016 AT THE FORCE HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA.

Today marks another milestone in my resolve to make policing less stressful and result-oriented. From the outset, the Nigeria Police Force under my leadership appreciated the contribution of the least policeman/woman in keeping our dear country Nigeria safe and secure. It is for this reason that the welfare of the officers and men of the Force became a top priority of my leadership.
- On the premise of the above, we are delighted to partner with Four Solution Multi Concept and its numerous merchants in further improving the welfare of officers and men of the Force. The POLCARD is a Police welfare and reward card that has an in built one hundred thousand naira palliative incentive to both serving and retired police officers in case of casualty in the line of duty.
- Other incentives include two to forty percent discount for any transactions that takes place in over 100 merchants and discount on school fees for the children of both serving and retired officers of the Force in partnering private universities across the country. Other benefits include immediate credit facility for financial emergency to both serving and retired officers of the Force and Priority career opportunities for dependents of both serving and retired officers.
- In launching this landmark scheme, I want to immensely thank Four Solution Multi-Concept for this noble idea and for their commitment to drawing on their corporate initiatives to support the Force leadership in addressing the welfare needs of personnel of the Force.
- It is my expectation that this scheme will further our commitment to addressing the challenge of corruption in the Nigeria Police while also motivating officers in the discharge of their Mandate. I therefore, wish to encourage all serving police personnel to key into the scheme.
- It is on this note, ladies and gentlemen that I move to formally launch the POLCARD for the benefits of all police personnel and Nigerians at large.
